Soya chunks/meal maker/Soya nuggets are high source of protein and also it lowers the cholesterol level and prevents heart diseases.Most of the people avoid taking it due to its odour and bland taste.The odour can be removed if u follow the methods I had mentioned in the procedure and also addition of more masala powders will give taste to the soya chunks.
U can make variety of dishes using the soya nuggets.To start with I had tried this one pot meal which is easy to pack for lunch..

INGREDIENTS
PROCEDURE:
Grind all the ingredients and keep it aside
Boil water and add a tbsp of milk to it.Bring it to boil.Addition of milk is to remove the odour of the soya chunks.when the water gets boiled add soya chunks and switch off the flame.
let the chunks remain in water for 5 minutes.
Then wash it atleast 3 times in running water.Then squeeze out the water from the chunks and keep it aside
In a pressure pan add oil/ghee and after it gets heated add the items mentioned in "For tempering" one after one.
Then add onions and saute well.Add ginger garlic paste,the grinded paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
Then add the soya chunks,turmeric powder,chilli powder,garam masala powder and saute well.Then add rice(soak it for 10 minutes ans drain the water),coconut milk,water salt and mix well.
Pressure cook for one whistle and serve it hot with onion raita
